Why do I sell cookie molds?

β€œIt all started because I was trying to pay the bills, but I kept making the cookies and taking them to history festivals because I fell in love with the stories. So many people that I meet tell me their family stories about making Springerle cookies.  Grandpa had a bakery and made the cookies. The family brought the cookie mold with them when they came from Germany. A husband carves a mold for his wife to make the cookies. Sisters each buy a cookie mold and make the cookies together.

Then the molds themselves have a story. Some are copies of molds that are several hundred years old. These molds were carved when few people had the privilege of being able to read and they were created to tell a story. And some of our molds have been designed and made recently. It is a pleasant mixture of old and new.

Come and join us in enjoying these unique cookies that are a part of hearth and home, where families and friends come together and memories are made.”
